Hamas issued a statement accepting parts of the proposal, including a prisoner-exchange formula, but it did not accept disarmament.

The plan set a 72-hour timeline for returning hostages after Israel publicly accepts the agreement. Trump said he would travel to Egypt for a wider summit on Oct. 13, 2025.

Trump signaled plans to attend an international summit in Egypt on Oct. 13, 2025, to press the process forward, but major obstacles remained and Israeli strikes continued after initial statements.
