Refund Policy
Clear rules for refunds on digital subscriptions and purchases
Last updated: December 8, 2025 | Effective date: December 8, 2025
1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains when Principle Labs Inc. ("Principle", "we", "us") will provide refunds for paid access to our products and services, including subscriptions, upgrades, and one-time digital purchases (the "Services").
Because our Services are digital and access is delivered immediately, refunds are limited. Except as described in this Policy and required by applicable law, all charges are final and non-refundable.
2. 7-Day Refund Window (First Charges Only)
- Eligibility: We may provide a refund only for your first paid charge for a given plan if you contact us within 7 calendar days of that charge.
- Scope: This 7-day window applies to the first charge when you move from a free tier or trial to a paid plan, or the first charge when you upgrade to a new paid plan.
- Discretion: Approved refunds will be returned to your original payment method. We may limit this 7-day refund to one refund per account or payment method to prevent abuse.
3. No Refunds After 7 Days
- After 7 days, all charges are final: Except for confirmed billing errors and where required by law, we do not provide refunds for any charges made more than 7 days ago.
- Renewals: We do not provide refunds for subscription renewal charges. When you cancel, you keep access for the remainder of the current billing period.
- No pro-rated refunds: We do not provide pro-rated refunds or credits for unused time, changes in usage, or unused features.
- Account actions: We do not provide refunds if your account is suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service.
4. Donations, Gifts, and Pay-It-Forward Purchases
- Donations and support contributions: Any voluntary payments, "pay it forward" purchases, sponsorships, or donations made to support Principle or provide access for others are non-refundable, including after 7 days, except where a clear billing error occurred.
- Gifts: Once a gift has been redeemed or applied to an account, it is non-refundable. Before redemption, refunds are generally not provided except under the 7-day rule described above.
5. Billing Errors and Unauthorized Charges
- Billing errors: If you believe we charged the wrong amount, charged you more than once, or charged you when you did not receive access, contact us promptly with details of the charge.
- Corrections: If we confirm an error on our side, we will issue a correction or refund, regardless of the 7-day window.
- Unauthorized charges: If you see a charge you do not recognize, contact us and your bank or card issuer as appropriate. We may temporarily suspend access to investigate suspected fraud or unauthorized use.
6. How to Request a Refund or Ask a Question
To ask about a refund or report a billing issue, please email us with your name, the email address on your Principle account, the date and amount of the charge, and a brief description of the issue.
You can reach us at support@principlecivics.com. We will review your request in good faith and respond within a reasonable time.
This Refund Policy does not limit any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction. Where those laws provide additional rights, we follow them.
